Luke 15:11-32
Do you remember when you wanted to get out of the house? I'm talking about leaving and doing life on your own. That would not be a bad thing unless you were leaving for the wrong reasons or living life carelessly. Too often that happens as Christians, we choose to leave the comforts of the heavenly father for our own will and desires.
The beautiful story of the prodigal son not only shows the love of the father but the redemption of the son. And it reminds us that It's never too late to come home.

Matthew 7: 24-27
We all dream of having a life that is successful. We want a successful marriage, family, and job. So did the two builders in Matthew 7. Jesus gives the parable of two men who desired to have a life/home that was successful. But there was a problem - the foundation! One built his home on a rock and the other on sand. For one, he saw his dream become a reality, for the other his dream was shattered. The parable of Jesus was simple - your foundation determines your future. What is your life built on?

I Corinthians 1:17-18 | Matthew 27: 15-31 | Matthew 28:5-7
For centuries the symbol of the cross has been used as a means of identification in a powerful way. Sometimes political or religious extremists have used it to claim power, like the KKK. Yet others have used it to represent good, like the Red Cross or church steeples. There is no instrument of death that is so universally popular in these ways.
But what is the purpose of the cross? Why did God choose the cross to bring forth the death of Jesus? The answer may surprise you. The cross was a symbol of three important elements, each of which applies to us today.
